The Primary Aim of IQAC:

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Techno Institute of Higher Studies (TIHS) in Lucknow is dedicated to several key objectives tailored to the institution's specific context:

  • Continuous Improvement: The IQAC endeavors to foster a culture of continuous improvement within TIHS, aiming to address existing shortcomings while proactively seeking avenues for enhancement across academic and administrative realms.
  • Culture of Quality and Excellence: Recognizing the importance of institutional culture, the IQAC strives to instill a culture of quality and excellence among stakeholders at TIHS. Through various initiatives and interventions, it seeks to cultivate a mindset where quality is not just a goal but a way of life.
  • Promotion of Best Practices: TIHS IQAC is committed to promoting awareness and adoption of best practices in quality enhancement. By organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs, it empowers faculty, staff, and students to contribute actively to the institution’s quality improvement endeavors.
  • Alignment with Industry and Societal Needs: In line with TIHS’s commitment to relevance and responsiveness, the IQAC collaborates closely with industry partners and other stakeholders to ensure that academic programs align with the evolving needs of industry and society.
  • Equity, Accessibility, and Affordability: Upholding principles of equity, accessibility, and affordability in education is a cornerstone of TIHS’s mission. The IQAC works to ensure that all students have equal opportunities to access quality education, irrespective of background or circumstance.

Strategies:

To achieve its primary aims, TIHS IQAC employs a comprehensive set of strategies tailored to the institution's unique context:

  • Capacity Building: The IQAC organizes capacity-building initiatives such as workshops and seminars to enhance the competencies and capabilities of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Process Optimization: It develops and implements systems and procedures to streamline academic and administrative processes, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the institution.
  • Quality Assurance Mechanisms: TIHS IQAC establishes robust quality assurance mechanisms, including internal audits and feedback mechanisms, to monitor and evaluate the quality of academic programs and support services.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engaging with stakeholders ensures that TIHS remains responsive to their needs and expectations. The IQAC solicits feedback and collaborates with stakeholders to inform decision-making and improvement efforts.
  • Technology Integration: Leveraging technology enhances teaching, learning, and administrative processes, improving access, efficiency, and effectiveness.

The Role of Coordinator:

At TIHS, the coordinator within the IQAC plays a pivotal role in orchestrating its activities and ensuring the realization of its objectives. The coordinator is responsible for:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing plans and priorities for the IQAC in alignment with TIHS’s vision and mission.
  • Resource Mobilization: Securing necessary resources to support IQAC initiatives and activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building effective relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and alignment with their needs and expectations.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitoring the progress and effectiveness of IQAC initiatives and making necessary adjustments or interventions as required.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Preparing and submitting reports, including the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), to accrediting bodies and other relevant authorities.
  • Capacity Building: Providing guidance, training, and support to IQAC members and other stakeholders to enhance their understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.

Through their leadership and vision, the coordinator plays a crucial role in driving institutional excellence and ensuring TIHS’s continuous growth and development.

Functions of IQAC:

The IQAC at TIHS performs a range of functions to fulfill its objectives:

  • Policy Formulation: Formulating policies, guidelines, and standards related to academic and administrative quality assurance.
  • Benchmarking and Best Practices: Identifying and adopting best practices from national and international sources to enhance the quality and relevance of academic programs and support services.
  • Internal Audits and Reviews: Conducting regular internal audits, reviews, and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of academic programs, support services, and administrative processes.
  • Feedback and Stakeholder Engagement: Soliciting feedback from stakeholders to inform decision-making and improvement efforts.
  • Quality Assurance Reports: Preparing and submitting reports, including the AQAR, to accrediting bodies and other relevant authorities.
  • Professional Development: Organizing training programs and workshops to enhance the competencies and skills of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Promotion of Best Practices: Disseminating information about best practices in quality assurance and enhancement.
